Three Forks Tribe

Hi all. My Tribe has been around for the past 2-3 years I chose to use them in this years Mighty Empires campaign  that I run between me and my friends during the summer school holidays and as such I got myself a rhinox cavalery unit from forge world this week and a box of bulls and the new 8th ed rule book which Im reading. the box of bulls im going to do "naked" I also am in the process of painting a unit of thirty gnoblars.  My campaign has just started for the uk summer school holidays and I will try to keep the strong hold informed of how my tribe does. But my tyrant is looking for a new gutplate

just had my first campaign battle it was 2000pts ogres v empire 7th ed
I Had
 Tyrant with daemon killer scars and wallcrusher name as well
Butcher with halfing cook book
6 bulls naked with full command
6 bulls ironfists with full command
8 ironguts with full command
30 Gnoblars
and 3 Rhinox riders
my oppoent had 3 great cannon ,
2 battle wizards,
a warrior priest
10 inner circle knights
a templar grand master
10 handgunners and
2x30 halberders
10 free company with 2 hellblaster volley guns
my friend  got the first turn and promtly started to blast my ogres to bits elimating the ironfists with the three cannon i made the mistake of delpoying my rhinox behind my gnoblars althought they did a good job in the second turn of seeing off a crew of a hellblaster with their sharp stuff it went from bad to wrose from there when my rhinox cavalery was blown away and the ogre bulls on my left flank was destoryed by inner circle knights in the third turn most of the ironguts was takenout by those pesky cannon leaving me to runaway to live another day.
 So over all result is a massacre win to the empire. With 5 empire points to the empire and 1 point to me .
My mistakes was no.1 deployment no.2 I wasn't agressive enough with the rhinox and army overall. So here to next time if you are wondering what other armies are in the campaign there are orcs and goblins and chaos. The next campaign turn is in a fortnights time, with the other players game is being played later this week.

Hi here is the latest news from my tribe on thursday we had a turn 2 campaign game against the "evil" empire it was the same forces as before but with a different terrain layout this time was a number of buildings on the table it blocked a lot of the line of sights. The game went better for me as before I managed to run off two cannon crews and helblasters and take out a warrior priest wizard and handgunners although I still lost the game it was a closely fought.
 I managed to make it a solid victory to my mate which I know is alot better than a massicare. !! I now learning to HATE CANNONS  any ideas or tips are welcome !
I have also managed to paint my gnoblars and put together and undercoat 10 Ogres: 6 Bulls naked 2 Iron fists Command group: 1 Bellower and 1 Standard and 1 Iron fist Standard bearer and 1 Iron fist (normal) the extra standard bearer is to replace one that snapped at the hand.
Other news from my Summer Campaign is that Chaos Beastmen beat Orcs in all three border patrol games they played as their challenge giving them 5 Empire Points and the Orcs 1.
At the end of Turn 1 the results are as follows Ogres with 3 tiles Orcs with 1 tile and the Beastmen with 1 tile and the Empire leading with 4 tiles 
We had our turn two campaign meeting on saturday  while waiting for results from the other players in the campaign the results are as follows Ogres with 4 tiles Orcs with 1 tile Chaos Beastmen with 3 tiles and Empire with 5 and two mines with the Chaos player looking to knock out the Orcs and win the campaign unless The Orcs manage to draw or Win a game as the chaos player has chosen the All or Nothing Event

Hi all heres the campaign update after the orcs v chaos game the result is a win for Chaos and with the points they earned they knocked out the orcs and goblins ending the campaign.  Winning our gaming groups informal title King of Kings.
I'm currently painting 10 orge bulls 6 naked and the other 4 with iron fists I also have been painting planetary empire tiles to mix in with my mighty empires sets.
 Hopefully maybe in a couple of months time we shall do another mighty empires campaign, but this time instead of a random map. I shall design the map for us to use and change the winning method to make the campaign last longer. From the booklets methods of ten tiles or knock someone out to, To win the campaign a player needs to claim 10 tiles and if a player is knocked out they can restart elsewhere and must use their empire points to claim a tile .

Hi all here's my tribes update after playing my first game of 8th ED warhammer last week. I decided to expand my orges. I've just made up 12 ogre bulls 6 bulls are naked the other 6 bulls have ironfists also I've ordered an battalion box which I'm waiting for.
I'm currently taking my time and repainting my Ogres changing their skin from denbe stone to tallern flesh with an ogre flesh wash starting with my Ironguts Im also starting to base my models with sand and flock. If you ask your self. Why I did not do it in the first place ? My answer is that is the way I did them I used to just normally paint my bases and that was it so there you go you have your answer. I'm also in the planning stage for me and my friends summer campaign.

Hi all just a quick update I've just finished painting up my core section of my army which is all my bulls and Ironguts I've also finished my Maneaters and Characters.
 I'm now going to repaint my Leadbelchers as I was repainting the skin I also took the time to touch up areas that I missed the first time or I did not like the first time.

Ive finished repainting my leadbelchers all 20 of them
I've now going to paint up the last of my unpainted gnoblars the've been undercoated (black) but nothing else .
I've played my first full game 2000pts in 8th E.D. and that got me thinking about what I will need in my orges. I'm thinking I want each of my ogre units to combine into a horde unit at least 18 strong as I have
2x9 ogre bulls Naked 2x9 two hand weapons and 2x9 hand weapon and Iron fist as well as 3x9 Ironguts for really big games
also I like that you can have a horde of gnoblars 50 of them for 100pts as a massive tar pit or roadblock.

Hi all just a quick update to say that my ogres have all been repainted. Using Tallern Flesh and Ogre Flesh Wash, I finished not long after my last update and the gnoblars I'm still painting.
Mean while in preperation  for this years summer campaign between me and my friends. I asked my friends who are taking part to each create a baggage train model for their army, because I trying to make the campaign be narrative driven and play special games as well as normal games.   
 Mine will be a melding of scraplauncher and vampires counts black-coach. The idea behind this is that my tribe has took it off the hands of a empire caravan and has claimed it for its own.
On the black coach I will put barrels and various shields and weapons and gnoblars as well as the platforms from the scraplauncher to give it the right look.
 I will use the Rhinox to pull the coach. I've ordered the models what I need to make my baggage train and I'm due to get them next week  post willing. By looking at my scrappys and pictures of the black coach I am thinking I'm going to need to make a boogie (a extra set of wheels at the front ) with a empire cannon set in order for it to turn and to join the two models into one.

Hi thanks for the complement ! Currently in my army is the following: (All with full command of Bellower, Standard Bearer and Crusher/Gutlord/Thunderfist.)
Bulls : Naked 2x9, Ironfists 2x9, Addition Hand Weapon 2x9,
Leadbelchers 20 Ironguts 3x9
I've also got 3 Yhettes, 2 Gorgers, 2 Slavegiants,and all six Maneater models.
In the characters I've got 2 Butchers, 1 Slaughtermaster ( Skarg the slaughterer model), 2 Hunters,
 2 Tyrants ( 2 models one with two hand weapons and one two handed weapon )
 2 Bruisers  and a converted standard bearer to be my Battle standard bearer.
For my BSB what I have done is glued 3 standards together and put a series of picturegrams on the standard which gives the message Ogre Strong Power Fight/Challenge ( translated means ogres are strong/ powerful in a fight ) with the three forks symbol in the middle.
On the Gnoblar side of things I have 143 gnoblars 30 trappers and 2 scraplaunchers.

I did enjoy making the baggage train just need to work out the rules to go with it . .
Anyway I'm going up to my local GW tonight 19/5/11 to take part in their warhammer campaign it is starting out at 500pts and from what I gather as the campaign goes on the games get larger so here is my 500pts army list to start from.
Vergs hunt
Hunter with 2 cats, 185pts Verg The Honest ArmBreaker
10 trappers              60pts  Thaz Trappers
4 Bulls (naked)        140pts  Baragh Bullys
2 leadbelchers         110pts  Bleg's Belchers

''Verg great hunter go get meat for feast and when you come back tell me what your eyes see so that we can please the Great Maw'' demands  Fargo the Great Tyrant.
 Verg acknowledges Fargo with a growl and nod of his large head. Strolling out of the tyrants tent Verg lets out a loud roar and barks at one of the gnoblars that are always following him around it scampers excitedly off getting a number of its kind to follow.
 As he walks around the tribes camp he thinks about what he shall need to do as his Tyrant demands. After a while he makes his descion he points to two leadbelchers from Bleg's Belchers.
 ''You two come with me'' Verg says to them they grunt their acknowledgement and start to follow him after gathering up their cannons and things. Baragh one of the tyrants favourite Bulls comes over to Verg and gives him a hearty hello ''Do you need some of my boys'' he asks Verg thinks for a moment and nods Baragh looks and calls some of his boys over and tells them to go with the hunter. After a while the hunter makes his preparations and calls those who are going with him and leaves the tribes camp to his Tyrants will ....   

Hi there not long played my games in the store campaign and lost both I played against Dark Elves the same bloke both times. Anyway in the first game my Hunter charged and caught 5 Harpies and in the second game my leadbelchers leadbelchered a group of harpies to death

Hi there just played in my local (GW Birmingham) store campaign and I played a skaven player he was a new guy to the game and the Skaven It was an enjoyable game and my tribe won when I first saw his 1000pts army I thought i would have a harder time than what I had.
