Is it worth getting a SM in 2000 pts now?
It means only 100pts of items for SM and Tyrant between them

i think theres a topic down a few with the same sort of question.
it all depends on what you wish to acheive. if you want your tyrant to have 100 points of weaponry and armour, you can have a naked SM or just buy a butcher and a few bruisers in your hero slot.
if you want a +4 to cast and dispell, which would eman you can almost always use single dice to cast gut magic and draw out alot of dispell dicwe, then get a sm.
if you want alot of smaller scroll and bound spell caddies grab some bucthers instead,.

I would agree bring in the SM at 2250 and above to get the proper gear.

I'm finding it hard to get him in at 2250 as well!
