Chapter one
this is the tale of the flying dutchman...
once long long long ago there was an ogre called Davey Jones, he was born without a paunch and was thrown down a pit in amongst the other gorgers, however the little ogre was remarkably lucky and soon managed to find a way out of the tunnels. when he was free the little gorger headed off and wandered around in circles for a few days before deciding on a direction. many months later he arrived in the chaos wastes, what happened thee is completely unknown, even to Jones himself who has no memory of his time in the wastes. all that is know is that 20 years after entering the wastes a fully grown gorger emerged, but not alone...
after finding his way back to the mountains of mourn he built a little hut for himself, but soon his peace was disturbed ogres came daily and tried to kill him. he couldn't work out why until he lost his temper with one and twisted his arm around until the ogre told him what was wrong. apparently it wasn't normal for an ogre to have tentacles growing out of their face, it was also considered "not normal" to have tentacles instead of fingers on one hand and a giant crab's claw on the other...
Davey Jones was so angry that he ripped the ogre's arm off and left it to die, then he traveled to the nearest ogre stronghold where he ripped down the gates with his bare hands (well the giant claw one anyway) then he ran into the stronghold and up to the tyrant's tent which he ripped to shreds, then when the tyrant emerged Jones used his claw to rip of the ogre's head. then as the rest of the tribe started to yell at the unfairness of this (they wanted him to do that gut-fighting thing with the tyrant) he walked down and preceded to rip them to pieces as well...
over the next few weeks Jones did the exact same thing to several other tribes, he only stopped when a one thousand strong ogre army was sent by the overtyrant greasus goldtooth. the army chased him to the edge of the mountains of mourn and they only stopped when they were sure he'd left for good. eventually Jones headed to Tilea where he found some bulls who he paid for. how he got the money was a mystery until several Tilean tax-collectors were found dead and robbed. so he was forced out of Tilea as well. with his new troops he returned to mourn where he tried to find anyone willing to serve him, without attracting the attention of greasus. by the time he left for the empire of man Jones had a group of yhetees and two gorgers one of whom claimed to be a Hunter. this hunter-gorger was also a female, which was incredibly unusual as the female gorger's never usually lasted as long in the dark under-caves...
after much traveling the group of gorgers, yhetees and bull mercs finally arrived on the outskirts of the empire. they were, of course treated with disrespect and suspicion however as many of them knew of the ogre mercenaries they were allowed to live. once they found a port-town Jones killed a few rich people took their cash and bought a boat before anyone found out. then he and his motley crew sailed away to a life of adventure and piracy.
