I am just curious when / how this magic item was effective, and versus what opponents.
It seems kind of limited, being restricted to tyrants. Unless you run your tyrant around alone, he will most likely be stuck in the middle, meaning he will be facing blocks of troops with decent Ld since the opposing general is likely to be around to anchor his lines.
It would rock against beastmen, I would guess. lol

I'm about to try a list with a lone Tyrant with Daemon-Killer Scars.
I think that, regardless of where he is, Terror is pretty tough. I honestly have no idea how well it will work, but I'm excited about trying. I'll let y'all know in a few days time.

I've used it against Chaos, and had him in a unit of 4 IG with a butcher carrying the Brahmir statue, so terror tests at -3 to leadership
He was running away the whole game, it was a complete masacre, I think I only lost a unitof Gnoblers and 2 Bulls, while most of his army fled of the table.
The best part of it was that his Generals unit failed his rally test this being without the -3 obviously, it was great.
However this huge very excpensive unit didn't get to see a single combat

Since he has such a low individual unit strength, it will never get you the auto-break angle. And against armies that cause fear, obviously it is of limited uselfulness.
That is an awesome idea to use it against chaos mortals with the brahmir statue, though. lol You would own chaos mortals, beastmen, or skaven.
Although...the wording is suspect if you give the statue to another model (a butcher). It says chaos/skaven are at -3 to Ld checks from the bearer or the unit he is with. Does that apply if only one model (the tyrant) causes terror in the unit? Hmmm... I THINK it would be valid, but it might be arguable.

I personally find that you can take something else instead of that Ogres don't need to cause terror. Besides once the opponent passes his terror test, what else is it good for ?
Who will be the next Khan in the Ogre Kingdoms?

I've never use I've never use it before but I think I'll try it next time I play.

Terror is a great weapon against most enemies, even if the chance are slim that the Tyrant will scare anyone off the table the scars are only 35 points, and considering that all the Tyrant really need is his Tenderizer I think it is points well spendt.
Ska´ du Moses?!

I think it is nice and useful (not to mention fluffy), but not a must. Terror is devastating against some armies, but rather worthless against other. I personally prefer the Kineater bigname...
Also, terror makes your enemies run. I would rather have them fighting my tyrant
Cheers, Meatfist
ps. Moses I love you sig

I had to Google Big Red Book to figure out it meant the WFB rulebook - I thought it had something to do with Mao.

I gave it to my tyrant agasint my last game against skaven (didn't get the brahmir statute though), and it wasn't as good as I expected: I probably faced the bravest skaven of all, but they passed all the terror tests (even when terror was caused by my bull rhinox riders), even at Ld5... !!!! but I can see scars have their uses. cheers

Terror is strange that way. The only time Terror has done anything for my Bull Rhinox was when it scared away two units of Dwarfs after my opponent failed two out of three tests at Ld9.
And the Baby Ogre said: "Someone's been eating my Gnoblars too! And they've eaten them all up!"
My gnobbos are called Dutch, Dillon, Mac, Blain and Billy
