I'd stick me guts out, but unfortunately they always stick out anyway....
I don't suffer from mental instability. In fact, I enjoy it immensely.

Gutlord Inquisitor: FORUM FIGHT! Me, I'm betting on the stronghold. Sure, they're outnumbered with thick skulls, stubborn bull-headedness and an inflated sense of self-worth, but hey, they're Ogres.
Good luck at the GT!  I want Battle Reports when you get back!

The only real limit on the effectiveness of gnoblars is the owner's tolerance for painting so many of them.
Woo! South Coast GT, eh? Show them how the Stronghold plays, Gutmore!
This is Wiki, the pet gnoblar. Say hello, Wiki.
Good luck, Gutmore!! Show them what hungry Ogres can do!! :)

May your dice arm be strong and your ogres hungry.. Show those thinlings how we ogres play..
A Gnoblar a day keeps that pesky hunger at bay.. for a moment..
How did he get on? I heard one of the Ogre players maybe got Best Sports?
Hello, just back.

Thanks very much for the support from all of you.  Much appreciated.   160 place event, in the end due to late dropouts 150 players.  A very well run, organised event, considering the large numbers.  Highly recommended.  No huddling around a bit of A4 paper to see the draws and results.  This event has a massive screen projector, that can be see from the back of the main Hall..........A Hall with 120 players in, and very generous spacing between the rows as well.

There were three Ogre  players in the end.  John Morgan who did extremly well with a three Butcher list. However in his own words the power armies were a struggle.  The tournament was comped so the magic was limited.  See rules pack. So, he didn't disgrace us.  In HIS list he had as I can remember Tyrant CLS, MSBN, three LB, Yhettees, One Bull unit one Gnoblar, three MEwith GW, CLS's, Hunter, only one unit of Trappers, Gorger. Three IG units, I think.

Neil Sheen the other Ogre player did indeed jointly win best sports.  He also had a three Butcher list.  My list has been up but I'll post it again in the Tournie section.

I went for the fun and it certainly forfilled that.  All I cna say is its a lot less stressful on the bottom tables.!!!!!  ;)But I didn't come last either.!!!  :)

We need some of you 'hardened  tournie', Ogres on here to go to the next one.........although I think John Morgan is quite well known.

Come on Candycake give it a go next year.

My opponents were;
Chaos Warriors 10-10
Daemons 0-20
Beastmen 3-17
O+G 8-12
VC 5-15
O+G 11-9  YES, I actually won a game.

Highlights from my games,   Steve Wren's O+G giant which was a completely scratch built SQUIG, and John Southgates scatchbuilt Jabberslyth, Moniotaurs, 'pumbagor chariots'.  Put my adapted Maneaters in the shade.

Watching my Slave giant have to hide, get killed, or do nothing.!!! except in game six where he terrored off quite a lot of Goblins, and then got 'Morked', in one magic phase.

The Hunter is awesome with the Tenderizer, IF he can pass Fear tests.  Failing to charge a giant, and then Wraiths, which would have massivly swung both games.

All  two Maneaters performed well, and seemed to always make their points.  A Bruiser with them discouraged any silly charge attempts by enemy units.  When they did charge they wreaked havoc.

One Butcher isn't really enough magical defense, even with the Rune Maw banner, which never got used.

One unit of TWO Lead Belchers continued to do as much damage on themselves as on anything else.
Which then seemed to make the remaing LB go mad with grief and charge stuff, taking out two goblin artillery pieces on his own, or shoot a Beastman chariot down to one wound in one round, which the Maneaters pistols finshed off. :D

A unit of Trappers in a building wounding a 240 point Tzeentch Hero for half points.
The Tyrant fluffing all  his attacks against a vampire Lord.
The Hunter taking down remaining wound on Tzeentch Hero, and then panicking Slaanesh Hero on steed off the table, for the loss of one cat.
Seeing the Tyrant and three IG's take out a unit of 25 Orcs and an Orc BSB in one round of combat.

Here's to next year.........and maybe a new book..............or at least some '8th Ogre love'.

Time for a light snack.............bring the prisoners here.
Nice work, Gut More! Sounds like a great time!  :)

thanks for the summary and report - I've seen pics of that "giant squig" over on heelamhammer's SAWC section - I bet it looked better IRL too :)

gald you ahd a good time - I'll have to see if I can attend next year! :)

Top show Gutmore. CC won't go (damn this scizoid identity- I really must get my own account!) but you have whetted my appetite for next year by which time we might have a shinny new book.

Glad you had a good time and held up the honour of the stronghold.
