I don't know if this is in the right place but...
Well, it looks like Ogre Kingdoms are in the home stretch for their new codex. I went to my FLGS this week, and since I had mentioned to the owner that I was looking into starting Ogres soon, he told me that the current Ogre Kingdoms Battalion box was just discontinued and he had ordered 3 more before supplies ran out. He also mentioned that the new Ogre Battalion box will probably have less models in it since the current Battalion box is a steal. $145 worth of models for $90. So grab them before they disappear.

But does it really matter?
It is known that ogres are being worked on at the moment and even with the delay they will be ready within, hopefully, the next year. So it would not be surprising if the battalion got discontinued.
Also it is just such a great deal, why would you not buy more? (sorry if I sounded hostile though)

Discontinued as in they have stopped production and as soon as supplies are out you will not be able to get that box anymore.
But does it really matter?

From what I heard, they were slated for a May release, but the new codex doesn't work well with the 7th ed rulebook so they were pushed back to June/July. Now they'll either come out with 8th ed or the next month.

Don't mean much that they are still on the GW site.
The Kans and Dread for the Orks were up a long time even if you could not order any (new plastic released next month).

Independent stockists haven't been able to order some TK stuff for about a year now, so I don't think this is particualrly indicative of anything, even though I would dearly love it to be.
I don't suffer from mental instability. In fact, I enjoy it immensely.
Gutlord Inquisitor: FORUM FIGHT! Me, I'm betting on the stronghold. Sure, they're outnumbered with thick skulls, stubborn bull-headedness and an inflated sense of self-worth, but hey, they're Ogres.

I talked to the store owner again today and asked about the Tomb Kings and he said he could still order their battalion box and other main choices. From what I hear, Ogre plastics are staying the same, just the Gorgers and Yhetis are getting reworked. He said it was his understanding that the ogre battalion box was being reworked to fall into line with the rest of the battalion boxes. That being you get $105 worth of models for $90.
edit: I wouldn't expect to see tomb kings until after Ogre kingdoms simply because of the cost/benefit between the two armies. Ogres just need a new book, 3-5 new models and they're good to go. TK IMHO are in need of resculpts to the majority of their line. When you put TK skeletons next to VC skeletons the quality difference is quite noticeable.

Yeah the fact that GW still has it means nothing. The website will have it available until the release of the replacement or until the last one leaves their warehouse. They had the old skaven book available on the website until literally days before the new one came out.
