It started with a small hunting team going missing this roused suspicions as the population of beastmen had grown resently and sightings very frequent.Immediatly a messenger team was sent to Altdorf but only one got there ,reinforcements would take a while hindered by the on coming beasts.Then the sky turned grey and fog decended on the small hamlet. I knew if we didnt muster a defence quick our doom would be inevitable.

Turn 1

We saw the army of the beast on the otherside of the heath, weeds and twisted roots obscurring the path.I tried to bless our ranks but some evil prevented me.The on coming tied of minotaurs,chariots and centaurs were peppered with lead from the gunners on our left flank.The Shaman tried to cast his evil rituals but he is not the only one with luck on his side i also think Sigmar looked down on me that day.

Turn 2

I praised Sigmar. Our reinforcements had arrived. I command my swordsmen to charge the foul, scaled hounds of chaos that emerged. With momentum of the charge, I and a swordsmen felled two hounds. This was shortlived however, as the handgunners bullets bounced off the minotaurs thick hide. I cursed. Things were getting worse. A unit of howling gors arrived, charging into the exposed flank of the knights. Two small units of ungor raiders arrived, ready to aid the larger gors. Things looked bleack. Emerging from the mist, a unit of centigors charged my units flank, while the chariots attacked the handgunners, cruelly skewering the fleeng remnants. The centigors and hounds tore a total of 6 of my brave warriors to shreds. Further back, Frederick and the beastlord tore at each other, each wounding the other badly in the struggle. The charged knights kill a foul beast.

Turn 3

My heart lifted when Frederick felled the Beastlord and again when the knights slayed another two beasts our forces were making good progress at holding them back futrther reinforce ments may be able to get here in time.My squad still wrestling with the challenge of overcoming the centigors two men fell but sigmar responded by giving us the strength to slay two in return.My blessed hammer also felled another leaving only two. The shaman then unleashed his spell sending all the beasts towards us.Raiders were moving behind us and this distracted us letting the centigors kill 3 of our numbers but i felled another of the creatures.The chariots and Gors horrifically managed to fell 6 of the Pride Of Altdorf knights and Frederick over came by his wounds and felled by the Gor champion. Things were looking bleak.

Turn 4
My unit fate, at least, did not seem sealed. Although a centigor slew one of our number, I slew the final one in return. Things were not going so well for the Knights though. 2 fell, mangled by the tusks of the bull minotaurs. The chariots continued to reak havoc killing 3 of the armoured warriors. The valient knights (Sigmar protect) cut down 2 foul gors in return. Next thing we knew, a small unit of ungors were upon us, skewering a warrior and bringing our number to just 4 men and myself. The minotaurs drove a rut through the unit of knights, trampling 2, while the chariot crew slaughtered 3 more. The few remaining valiant knights managed to kill 2 foul chaos beasts. Despite this, there fate was written in blood.

Turn 5
As the last Ungor died to my Valiant hammer i saw the last knight get skewered, screaming upon the gnarled horn of a raging Tuskgor.I saw the battle could not be won so while i could we retreated back to a near village even now that day still haunts me in my dreams and may Sigmar protect those who fell that day. Although Morgenstien has fallen, the Empire has not, and the spirit of Sigmar still lives on in us. In am Ulkrin von Kindlevern, and I am one of the five lucky enough to survive that day.
