Well I havn't made any updates in a while, so its long past time that I did so.
Since I last posted in the gnoblog I have taken significant strides towards completing the army to the point I want it.
The BSB has undergone a few revisions and I ended up using the cigar smoking bruiser as a base for  this version as there were things about that conversion which were niggly to me. The Banner is from the minotaur box with the ubiquitous maw bannertop. I recently impoved upon the model by making the banner pole higher so other orges can rank up beside him without loosing an eye to the banner.

With these Ogres the total number is 12, I don't want to field hordes formations, so this is enough for me. The Ogre with the gnoblar has been magnetized for a banner so I can field two units of 6 if needed.

After that burst of activity I worked on the Showgirls crew for Malifaux. It was a welcome change of pace from the Ogres and I enjoyed painting the intricate detail.

After I painted the Showgirls I went back to the Ogres to paint my Deathmaster, a rather disgusting figure from Scribor miniatures. The model is stock standard excpet for the necklace of skulls I made by treading a number of GW skulls on a piece of wire.

In order to gain qualification as a Malifaux henchman I painted another box of miniatures. These are the Friekorp mercenaries. At some point I plan to go back to them and brighten the leather somewhat for a more pronounced battlefield presence.
Actions speak louder than words, unless your eating a mime of course.
After I painted the Friekorps I was messing about painting some Dark Angels for 40K, this is just a sample of the colour scheme as it seems I forgot to take some photos of what I've done.

At anyrate before I knew it I was under the gun to get my army ready for the biggest event on the Victorian tournament calendar, Convic.
With only two weeks to spare I painted like a fiend. I had started painting the Ironblaster a month prior, I thought it would be easy, but the amount of detail on the kit dragged out the job longer than I would have liked. Still its done and while I have a second one undercoated there is no rush on it as I will unlikely be allowed to field two in most tournies and friends do not field two Ironblasters against friends.

I also needed a Firebelly model for the tournament, but the parts for a planned conversion got lost in the post, so I settled on using my "Heavens" Butcher as an alternative. fluffwise she is Skylar, Mistress of the Icy Heights, half Yhetee, half Ogre.

In the last week before the Tournament I painted all four of the Mournfangs. The only thing that is wrong with them is that I only used one colour for the metal which makes them look a little monotone. On the otherhand I really like the way the banner turned out, sometimes I just get in the zone when I am blending and it is so zen.

After the tourny was done I had time before uni was starting again, but I was pretty burned out on Ogres so I painted up some Malifaux miniatures for a commission. The client wanted them in NMM, which is not a storngpoint for me, but he was happy with the result.

This concludes the update for the gnoblog, in future I will try to provide more regular updates.

Good stuff indeed!

In particular blaster, Lady Slaughter, and the fangs.
My hood is my castle...
All of the work is great mate! I love the Collette du Bois model from the Show Girls set, would love to own one myself... They rarely come up on eBay singularly though :(

Anyway, can't wait to see more dude! :)

After all, painting 100 night goblins is something you do in the morning just before you are off to work.

And I think you missed a 0 when you wrote 11 armies. The correct nr should be 110 armies I would think, based on your painting speed.
Army looks fantastic...  I love the BSB and i'm currently tryin to figure out how
I'm going to do mine...

Painted up the battlebox for my Warmachine CoC army. It is a deliberately simple scheme of various metal shades and washes in order to maximize painting while minimizing time spent on it.

Looking ace dude! :) How big are you planning on making the Cyriss faction?

I'll probably get everything eventually, but asides from the Clockwork Angels I don't think I'll be spamming troops.

Awesome! I look forward to seeing them! No one really plays Cyriss round here, so I don't often get to see them :)

Limited Edition Bruiser is finished for this months painting challenge.

I have only  a handful of models left to paint for this army. But my club has started a Journeymen league so I'll be concentrating on painting all the CoC I can lay my hands on in order to win the Hobby patch.
