2250 ogre tournament list - feedback needed

This is my present list for a competetive 2250 turnament, rhinox riders allowed:

Tyrant (greypack belt, wyrdsnone necklage, greedy fist,longstrider, catayhan longsword, brace of handguns, HA, LG)

Bruiser (BSB, longstrider, Talisman of protection, HA, LG)

Bucher (2scrols)

Bucher (2scrols)

3 Bulls

3 Bulls

20 Gnoblar fighters

20 Gnoblar fighters

9 Trappers

3 Yheetees

3 Rhinox Riders (IF, HA, Bellower, Standard, Warbanner)

3 Rhinox Riders (IF, HA, Bellower, Standard, Bull standard)


That's it. Tyrant and BSB each join a unit of rhinoxen. Buchers are present to protect the Rhinox riders from deadly magic.

bull standard works on bull charge impact hits - rhinox don't have that rule, their's is the thunderous charge so I don't think the banner will work. 

the ragbanner and the runemaw are my preferred banners on rhinox units as they give them protection (with the ragbanner being the best).  A warbanner is a "win more" item that they don't really need.  If I get to run 3 units though, the warbanner will go on the 3rd

your tyrant is wearing a greyback pelt - this means you'll have to drop the yhetees from your list or change this item.

other than that, it's looking solid.

And wildcard is right. you gotta drop the Yhetees. You can keep with the theme by adding a scraplauncher but id add 2-3 leadbelchers to deal with pesky flyers or fast cav.

Sidenote: Ive never thought of deploying characters with rhinox riders. I always thought that RR were monsters.

Cool list.  I can't imagine going to war without my beloved Ironguts, but it looks like those Rhinox are gonna' fill that void nicely.  You almost have kind of a dual deathstar thing going on. 

That's a nice list, but the OK rules state you can't take an Ogre Big Name for your Bruiser if he's the BSB. Unless you're using a revised rules setup.

He can have a big name and/or magic items if the BSB is not a magic banner.

Thanks for the comments. I totaly forgot I could not take yhetees in a list with the greypack belt and have no idea is I should replace them, or give my tyrant another setup.

Wouldn't it maybe considerable to replace the greypack belt with deamon killer scars? A terror causing unit of rhinoxen seems cool. I'ts a lot of points for terror, but it maybe might work out.

About the warbanner, in some way, its kind of a protection. Normaly I run only one unit of RR, with the BSB in them. With their bad tempered, they are easely manipulated(they beat them in a right position for a countercharge) and if they charge me then, I have a static combat resolution to protect me(banner, warbenner, BSB), as my rhinoxen mostly die due losing combat by 1 and running away, even if the BSB is in the unit

or you could just upgrade all the rhinoxen to bull rhinox and they all cause terror then anyway   Personally I find that goign to bull rhinox is best anyway - larger unit strength, terror, better weapons kill and strength for the rhinox attacks all add up to make them a much more effective unit.

I don't like the bull rhinox-upgrade. It's a lot of points, and they become large targets. I only use them single.

I played against empire today(swiching greypak for deamon killer scars, and the bull standard for runemaw) and was very pleased with the list. Terror was nice, and my opponent didn't aspected it.

I would like to swich the runemaw banner for the ragbanner...

Daemon-Killer Scars is too overpriced and there is too much ItP, Frenzy, MoS stuff running around. Not worth it in my opinion.

You'll be right, I din't think about those ItP armies. There will be a lot of deamons in tournanets.
What would be a nice tyrant build. The tenderiser seems overkill in rhinoxen. I woul have liked the greypack belt-catayhan longsword combo, but I need the yhetees.

Hmm. Siegebreaker is nice for Steam Tanks and good for the strength and magic attacks. It might be okay on a Tyrant since his WS is a little higher and you won't run against as many high Ini troops (mostly 5 or 6 at the highest). Maybe give him the Fistful of Laurels to ensure your Rhinox don't run away.
