OK. So I started my ogres army a few days ago, a bit like the old 'Tale of 4 Gamers' from White Dwarf although I am only allowing myself to buy one piece of kit each month (otherwise I know I won't paint everything). So this month I purchased a unit of Ogre Bulls, of which the unpainted crusher is shown below.
Here is the background for my eventual tyrant. Item choices are at the very bottom.
"Originally of the Rocksplitter tribe, Tyrant Gorak the Marked was just a Bull when his fellows were ambushed by Daemons near the Skycastles, not even noticeable enough to be allowed the customary tattoo of the Great Maw. With strength born of desperation Gorak fought ferociously and killed many of the gibbering monsters as the other ogres were cut down around him.
Finally he fell to the floor, exhausted and blood-stained as the strange Slaaneshi daemons darted about him, laughing and dancing, their knives piercing his flesh. A strange coma like sensation overtook him. Gorak knew he was alive because he could feel the knives slipping into his skin. But if he was alive, why wasn't he hungry? Eventually, the ogre stood up and walked in a random direction. The world shimmered and darkened and Gorak heard a voice. Turning sharply he saw The Great Maw. Falling to his knees in supplication the untypically cowardly ogre cowered and waited for death.
Burning pain, the like of which he had never felt, engulfed him.
And then he awoke. Gorak was lying on the mountaintops, the bodies of the other ogres and daemons surrounding him. As he stood, he felt an unfamiliar surge of power within him. He no longer knew fear, for what could be more fearful than the Great Maw itself?
Weeks later, Gorak returned to his tribe, night coming early to the steppe. The tribe's Tyrant, Grawp, roared and demanded to know what had happened. Without even breaking stride, Gorak ripped the head from Grawp's shoulders and threw it to the floor. A fresh wave of pain shot through Gorak and he fell to his knees. The ogres behind him gasped as, for the first time, they saw his back fully.
Whilst many Rocksplitter ogres tattoo a representation of the Great Maw onto their backs, Gorak's tattoo covered his back and, as they watched, it spread thick lines of colour reaching up over his shoulders.
The Rocksplitter tribe died that night and the Mawwalkers were born. They follow their Tyrant with a zeal akin to the Battle Pilgrims of Bretonnia, believing he is the chosen of the Great Maw. Who knows. Only this is certain, when Gorak listens to the bloody voice in his head and does what it wants, the tribe does well and Gorak is engulfed in pain and his tattoo spreads even further."
So, stats and items wise he is a tyrant with heavy armour and an ironfist.
He wears the 'Gut Maw' which represents how he grows more powerful as he does the Great Maw's work and how the Maw protects him
He has daemon killer scars, representing his battle in the Sky Castle
He has the big name 'Beastkiller' to represent his lack of fear ever since seeing the Maw.
