Which army do you think...????

original thread ↗

Not even dwarves and knights... Only a tooled up dwarf lord, or a khorne herald/WoC Champion on jugger could survive that...

After all, painting 100 night goblins is something you do in the morning just before you are off to work.

And I think you missed a 0 when you wrote 11 armies. The correct nr should be 110 armies I would think, based on your painting speed.
1+ becomes 5+ against strength 7, and there are a few units with 1+ save around.

Besides, Gateway doesn't even have a higher chance of getting the really high strengths when I think about.

And while 7 strength 7 hits average is impressive, I would say that 7 strength 7.5 hits on average is more impressive, with a floor of 5 instead of 2 and a higher chance to get strength 9 or 10.

If you prefer the potential damage for the thrill, sure, but I still say that Bolt is a overall stronger performer. :)

"Needs Moar Manowar"
So it boils down to

Bolt = Tournies (for consistency)

Gateway = Friendly (for thrills)

I can deal with that. lol

I dont know though does anyone else think that a Forgotten Realms themed DE army would look awesome? I think it would. I could even make Driders as "cold one" knights! How awesome would that be? If I could fit them on the base...
Help me decide my next army to play! http://www.ogrestronghold.com/forum/index.php?topic=20309.new#new

Total Ogre Record:
40 W (15 massacres) / 15 D/ 12 L

Accomplishments: (2150 RTT) Maul in the Mall 2011 - Tournament Champion

Most Recent Game: 2150 vs. Beasts - my brother decided he wanted to try to beat my RTT list...yea, he didnt fair well at all. (Massacre)
Dark Elves are the potentially best looking army out there yeah.

There's a certain thrill in everything coming down to a D6 roll.

If I had a 10 foot long greatsword, I'd be swinging that thing left and right.
if your worried about investing lots of money because you want everything i would suggest staying away from horde armies as a whole.
If you want an exact oppisite army i would suggest HE.  Their fluff is pretty much oppisite.  Their units are pretty much opposite.  And thier play style is opposite.
I'm definately enjoying my Tzeentch WoC, if that helps you make up your mind.  Just last night, I sent a unit of Saurus Cav into the Warp.

Or do Skaven/Empire.  They are equally awesome.

Some times the dice love you, some times they don't. But when you roll 11's and 12's on the panic tests and 3's and 4's on the flee distance, you can be pretty sure that your dice are having an affair.
Skaven especially now, what with their tasty new models, and revamped book out in little over a months time...
