Proof that ogres can do good !!

If you are one of those player's that do not believe ogres don't have what it takes to enter a tournament. Well here's some proof.. hoping I will be able to repeat it again next year hahahahahahah !!!   Finishing 4th out of 50 was something to be proud of since I've been playing Warhammer for almost a year.

Here are my games :

Ogres vs Chaos (chaos got massacred)
Ogres vs Wood Elves (minor victory for WE)
Ogres vs Orcs (ogres got massacred)
Ogres vs Dwarves (dwarf got massacred)
Ogres vs Lizardmen (solide victory for Ogres)

Army list:

Tyrant: tenderiser, wyrdstone, fist of laurels, luck gnoblar. (placed in unit of 7 ironguts, full command, ragbanner).

Butcher: dispell scrolls x2 (placed in unit of 7 bulls, full command, clubs).

Yhetee's x3

Scrapluncher

Leadbelchers x3

Gorger x2

Gnoblars x21

Trappers x8

I wasn't that lucky with the dice in 2 games. Against the orcs, nothing I could do, he was rolling 7's on a d6 all 6 rounds !!!!!!!! And the 2 other games were average. My stratagy helped by using the gnoblar unit and leadbelchers to draw attention then flee on a charge to get my bigger units in. What helped was the challenges with the tyrant.

Now that I look of that, never again will I use 1 butcher in a army. Also, I was easly outnumbered unit wise.

You have some great unit types...but no troops...Bulls? Ironguts?

Great job placing 5th. Sorry about your bad luck thats one thing you can't do anything about.

He had a 7 man unit of both bulls and ironguts. He just listed them in the same line as his characters.

I see that there waa another ogre player tied for 12-15th place and that about mid way down was a female ogre player(? Michelle)!!!!

Actually, the conflict was held at Montreal in Canada.

The other ogre player had a unit of 3 rhinox's and since they come up to 1/4 of your army, he had a hard time. He works for games workshop in Calgary and won the best paint.

The other ogre player, Michelle is actually a guy, they messed up the names. Even my last name is spelled wrong.

That is really awesome, that really gives hope to someone like me, with such limited expierence
