2009 Warhammer Fantasy UK Rankings

original thread ↗

The 2009 Warhammer Fantasy UK Rankings have been published, and can be found here:
http://www.irresistibleforce.com.au/catalog/Rankings-WHFB-UK,228.aspx

At a glance, I can see a few Stonghold members in the player rankings.  As for the army rankings, Ogre Kingdoms are 15th.  Plenty of time to fix that ;)

Some info on how this stuff is figured out:

This obviously doesn't include Irish Tournaments/GT for 40k. Lot's of Australians and New Zealanders here. What does it count?

Edit - forgive my ignorance, but isn't this just Australasia for 40k? Is there a website for UK in 40?

Double edit - its an Australian website, i'm a kiwi and I see mates on there
That's odd, my link looks correct (see the UK bit) and this is what I'm seeing when I click on it:

Edit: Sorry, I think I understand now, there are no UK 40K rankings on the site, just Fantasy :)
Yeah mate,

The UK fantasy link is grand. The other 2 links above that are Australasia related.

Was just wondering is you had a site like this that does the Uk 40k rankings?

I know this is mainly a WFB site, but if you knew any other website that does that, it would be interesting to know.

Bearing in mind, its late for me and there are a number of cheap chinese beers on the table ;)

Edit: for pure grats purposes, can we name the handles of the lads/ladies who are ranking higher? A shout out might be a good recognition of our peeps
Yeh this whole ranking thing in the UK is pretty awesome, makes tournament play even more exciting.
I've got a hell of a lot of work to do to get up the rankings  , I ain't even going to mention where I am  8)

The highest ranking player that I know personally is..... you guessed it.... WILDCARD!  8)

cmac, there is no 40k UK rankings, they don't exist, Ben Curry has only done the Fantasy ones.

Blimey, yeah, Mr. Card is massively high up :) That is rather quite respectable :) I'd be happy just to be on there :)

After all, painting 100 night goblins is something you do in the morning just before you are off to work.

And I think you missed a 0 when you wrote 11 armies. The correct nr should be 110 armies I would think, based on your painting speed.
thanks guys - it doesn't include the doubles that I "won" either :)
x105 - keeping pace with my wins!

Ogre achievements: 65/101 latest: maneater (play in 5 different venues)

Latest Fantasy Result: ogre kingdoms vs. high elves - 1500 points - win!

8th edition: 105/25/12
New ogres: 36/6/5

I was born and bred in a briar patch!
Yeh very true, sad that they don't include doubles.

One tourney was missed off my profile, hopefully that'll push me up the rankings a bit, but I'll still be waaaaay down.
Still plenty of time to make it up with 3 tournies coming up later this year though!  :D

I used to play magic the gathering many many years ago, but gave that up for sanity.

It was huge in my club in Ireland recently.

I dispise the game, but the ranking system they have does seem to be vastly superior to any other in the warhammer world.

It seems to be something which is a little lacking. With the amount of GT's around, it wouldn't be that hard to sort out surely.

However, I don't think I have ever been to a well organised, well advertised 40k tournament. Organisation doesn't seem to be the strong point. The UK GT was probably the best.
