I have a dream that one day Gnoblars will be judged on the content of their trinket bags and not by the size of their nose or ears. I have a dream!
I shall call him Randy and he shall be my pet.

After all, painting 100 night goblins is something you do in the morning just before you are off to work.
And I think you missed a 0 when you wrote 11 armies. The correct nr should be 110 armies I would think, based on your painting speed.

Sorry JJ
And yeah WC, when shall we see some updates?

well:
warpy's sculpt will soon be in transit to me and I'll probably start with that.
I've received some clock parts for the golden warriors and some copper sheeting that I was going to try and bend to form the ribcages of the soldiers - however the copper is a little too thick for that so I need a rethink on it.
I've decided to do the legs for the golden warriors simply - I'll just nick some from other models. Currently I'm considering the legs of tau stealth suits as being a good size, but I may have to work on this as the sculpts themselves take shape.
the dryads have been built and undercoated but are only on temporary bases as I'm not sure yet on how to base the army yet. I've also scrapped together about half of the wardancers I need.
coming up with the bodies for the butcher "eternal guard" has been a little difficult. They are obviously NOT elves in the film (too tall and muscular) - originally I was thinking of using orcs and bought a box to try it out - however the poses of the orcs and the fact that they are on 25mm not 20mm makes a big difference. As it stands then I'm considering other options - the main one of which is flagellents - the boies on teh kit are great and lend themselves well to the conversions I need.
as you can see, the ideas for the army are still taking shape - expect some test models ina few weeks time, but I'm still trying to resource materials. I'm not wanting a straight copy of the film either - but more a warhammer take on the film, so getting the visuals right will be a big thing.

Have you considered gors or ungors for the bodies? I know at least an ungor upper body with a little back shaving fits onto glade guard legs pretty well and gives you a very muscled looking elf/human thing
thanks corai

Will there at least be an attempt at Mr. Wink? That film had a few good and bad points with Trolls, but one of the funniest and most disturbing lines I've ever heard: "I'm not a baby, I'm a tumour"

vyvyan: I'll not be trying Mr. Wink.
The elemental arrived today - but had suffered the revages of transit and is now undergoing some TLC.
I've been working on ideas for the "branchwraith as Angel of Death" - I've created the "double wings" by cutting/splicing two pairs of pegasus wings - and I think I've found a model that will work well as a base for it - sigurd the magnificent! He's got the torso and magestic height (and the pose) to work. I'll have to GS over his head to create the "halo" of the angel and give him arms from a dryad or ghoul for those lovely long talons. The wings still look big on him though - but less so than on other models I've tried.
still working on it though...
