The Rats & the Guts

I like the Skaven list  If you have enough magic to draw out the dispell dice, then Bands of Power and 2xs hand weapons on the Plague Priest is very fun 

As for the Gutter Runners hopefully you'll find out their worth, being able to charge after surfacing is the biggest plus && as long as they don't have a champion enemy wizards don't stand a chance!

Ogre wise i got my first new game in with them vs a pretty fair Daemon army... really close game but marginal victory to him when all the combats (and ensuing Ld tests) suddenly went against me... still, good to get the Guts back on the field properly
And yet more ogres arrived courtesy of Winbear, so the horde grows

Had a bit of an assembly spree this morning with some more Skaven that arrived and out of 2 boxes of Rat Ogres (minus one rat ogre) i managed to get all of the following (with the help of various rats from clanrat & plague monk sprues

Yay! More Skaven goodness! Only one thing to say about the list (its minor) but here goes:

No champs on Clanrat units. They are brutal, especially considering the 'Boo, Hiss!' rule has no effect on Skaven characters. That should free up 30pts to spend on stuff.

No champs... ok, that'll free up more points for either magic items or another small unit of night runners

And a BSB freshly converted, a little blurry but you get the idea, just an amalgamation of a few plague monk standards (going to replace the clanrat ones with the smaller icons found on the plague monk sprues)

Another Skaven update i'm afraid, no guts yet... maybe next week i'll start on a test mini

Well, i may have nearly found a new favourite plastic kit... the Ogres are astill ahead just but the Plague Monk plastics are amazing... so far i've got 4 Censer Bearers and a plague priest out of the kit before i even start on the normals... plus a body went to the packmasters

OK, so the censer bearers aren't quite on par with the metals, but i still quite like them, particularly my "bell ringer"

Excellent StoneDog; I love the Plague Monk sprues myself. I have to admit, the Moulder Box (Rat Ogre + Giant Rats) is nice too. *remembers the only decent convertion EverHunger has ever done*

Well there's been another assemble spree... 20 Slaves, 25 Clanrats, 8 Night Runners and 13 Plague monks all in one sitting... which totals pretty much everything i have skaven wise now all assembled... just a couple of bits left

And to balance out all the rat-based updates... a quick shot of the metals for the ogres i've been repairing and assembling too
