That looks great! My only gripe is that there is a lot of empty space in front of him. Maybe you could make the end of his tail burst into tentacles or something... Or give him a salacious crumb nurgling...

Wow, this is making me think of doing some conversions myself. Hey, could you ever think of doing a model that's disgusting? You know, distented offal, milky eyes, deformed fetus arms coming out of the chest...

Thanks for all the positive comments guys kallus: The empy space infront of him i kinda like tbh xD It makes his 'throne' look important Vyv: Well i thought the herald and nurglings i sculpted were kinda disgusting xD Though i guess ill have to wait till my GUO to see how disgusting i can make things
Well without further delay; hes finally completed! After two evenings of work
Here are the nurgling carrier pics
A full herald pic
The back
And finally anouther size comparison
Whaddya think ^^?
Edit: Actually after some great improvement idea from Monkeh, im going to improve the palaquin itself over the weekend!

I really like that Sculpt, very nice! The Nurglings are cool.
One thing that I think could be improved is the whole throne and base of it, I think it'd look amazing if it looked like it was made out of wood (rotting wood of course!) looks too plain at the min, but I suppose it depends on how you're gonna paint it
Good stuff, look forward to seeing more

I just dont like the platform the chair is on. I migth take it right out and replace with actual palanquin poles running back and forth along the sides of the chair. Or simply the chair/platform is so plain it detracts from the rest of the model? Some symbols, cracks, or other decorative bits like a half dozen maggots or something would go along ways towards fixing that.
Momada17 May 2009
Thanks for the positive comments, ima ctually working on improving the palaquin itself at the moment Pics will be posted hopefully with some progress on the Green Scribes

Very minor update.
With my major exam week approaching (1 or 2 everyday no breaks >.<) i wont have much time to sculpt, but! I have done some work to the palaquin, added some moss (thanks Monkeh ) some maggots, and soon ill have nurglings dangling everywhere. Planning work has been done for the green scribes and my GUO, but thats where it is for now
I picked up some rocks and they gave me some inspiration for poses im going to do for my GUO (and also one for anouther thing, though its a secret, im giving my army plan away very slowly ).
Thats it for now.
Pics of the improved palaquin soon

Ooh, is the GUO covered with grazes with bits of stone in it? or are they going to be gallstones and tumors coming from its abdomen?

Well after comming into possession of enough money to buy a wonderful metal model unit Ive made a couple of unit fillers and worked a little on my Herald of Nurgle (who is still having work done to it!)
Here are some pics
Notice the cute ickle nurgling sucking innocently on a larger instestine :3
No im not quite sure what the other thing on the base is either... But it has tentacles and thats all that counts!
Unit filler no2:
Anouther innocent ickle nurgling.
Unit as it looks atm
And for a little luck, a comfortable looking nurgling:
Note: i havnt put seperate pics of how the herald is progressing because im gonna post some once hes utterly complete
Anyway, im gonna start painting a couple of plaguebearers and finding a paint scheme im comfortable with
P.s. sorry for the second pi being of bad quality!

Looking good. I really like the unknown creature on the first unit filler with the maggots coming out of his back. Also I like the visible changes to the palanquin. Not sure if you're up to it, but you could do small conversions to the plaguebearers to make them fit a little better with the herald (not that they don't, it is all nurgle after all).
-Kallus
P.s. Are you done with whatever all those tests were yet?

After all, painting 100 night goblins is something you do in the morning just before you are off to work.
And I think you missed a 0 when you wrote 11 armies. The correct nr should be 110 armies I would think, based on your painting speed.

Guess whos back!
I had a great holiday in Switzerland with all the cheese, chocolate and mountain hikes! (its much more colourful then dull, gray, dirty old london ) So im half happy, half sad to be back, mainly happy so i can get back to work on my GUO! (which won by a landslide suprisingly [/endsarcasm])
So expect some updates within the next few days!

Sorry for the lack of replies guys, Ive been so busy lately sculpting small bits (if you can call 20 faceguards on swordmasters small D:) for some friends and for a staff member (for free ofcourse ).
Unfortunatley there isnt much to show, as the only things i have done are build some of the models i have purchased recently and only begun sculpting my GUO (though i dont want to spoil anything yet so no pictures ).
This is a list of what i have done since ive been back:
I've built 30 bloodletters. I've built and sculpting bits onto 6 flesh hounds. (pictures soon) I've finished painting my 20 plaguebearers. (pictures soon) I've sculpted the first bits of the face of my GUO.
Expect some updates on my GUO once my order of new milliput arrives.
Thats it for now!

Well, im back from the Warhammer World hobby camp, which was great fun! I also got the chance to view the models done by the 'Eavy Metal team, which i lost myself in. Holy shit are the models better in real life then they are in the army books and white dwarf magazines. I was completely inspired by all of the models and i even learned a few interesting painting 'techniques' by looking at them and trying to think how certain parts were done.
Enough with the picturless portion of the update.
While i was at Warhammer World, i treated myself by purchasing models which im going to enjoy painting very much:
The Daemon Prince of Khorne is going to be given wings to onvert him into a Bloodthirster
Unfortunatley ive been so busy recently, that ive got hardly anything done! So to make up for this, here are some pictures of what ive done so far
Here are the pictures of my finished Plaguebearer unit:
Here are my flesh hound conversions ^^
As you can see, I filled in the holes in their head with putty sculpted as hair, added some tails, and a 'Collar of Khorne' substitute: 'Armbands of Khorne'!
While i was at the Hobby Camp i managed to finish only 5 Skeleton Warriors for my Tomb Kings, which is because i remove every mold line from the models and i take ages to build them xD Also the paintjob is very complicated, the shield has 12 stages and about 8 layers, the blue headflaps have 5 layers, the gold has 5 stages, the bone has 5 stages etc etc etc. And here is the champion of the unit
And here's a better view of the shield:
Finally, to make up for lack of updates recently, heres the early, early, early, early, early, early stage that my GUO is at (His mouth and eyes). Unfortunatley i cant continue him until i get my order of Milliput, which will hopefully be soon.
Here i raised him up to how big i hope him to be when he is given legs. Its also a size comparation
Next in line: 30 Bloodletters to paint D:

Wow, all great stuff Mad! I especially like that tomb-king bloke, very well painted!
And i Am intrigued about how the GUO will turn out...so far it just looks like a possessed Russian Doll, but i really do see potential in that bad boy, i especially like the tongue
And for some reason, it seems the milliput you used on the GUO looks alot darker than the stuff i use? Are you using a different brand, or is it just a trick of the light?
