"Sons of Odin"

First time of writing fluff, more to follow if interested.

   Prologue- The halls of Asgard have fell silent. The list of enemies of the Aesir have grown longer as their allies dwindle in number. Odin the all father has fallen, and he now fights alongside his sons in dreadnaught armor. Thor has taken lead of the chapter. Tyr has focused his attention to a threat known as "The Klan of Warbozz Grendel". Thor himself has leads his brothers to battle against hive fleet jormungand. Still there lurks a greater threat to the Sons of Odin, It is not of xeno heritage, it is instead it's fallen brother  both Loki and Hod have fallen into the dark hands of chaos, sealing their fate forever by slaying Baldur. Whispers of a world where Loki is raising his legion is whispered throughout the chapter. Still, the hammer of the Aesir is just as it is wrathful, A new captain has taken Baldur's company, he bears a dark title as well as a dark task, to avenge Baldur's death. With the chapter divided only the Emperor and honor my decide the fate these warriors of the imperium.

So and comments, if interested in the story is there any certain god you would enjoy me to mention/elaborate on? Enjoy

This would be the tales heralding the start of Ragnarok,minus a few details. I would change around some names and details, as some people will think you just rewrote the Edda sagas. And for those not familiar with Norse mythology a bit more explanation would be nice.

Ogur thanks for the response. I picture the 40k universe sort of in a pre-ragnorak/apocolyptic state. To me the best part of nose mythology is before ragnorak and the events that lead to it. Any certain details I should change or names I should change? As for you don't know Norse mythology. Should I stick to the mythology, or change it some how?

Odin- The All father, head god, I would like to say it's the equvilent to zeus , but Odin has a few advantages over him.
Thor- A son of Odin. Battles Jormungand in norse mythology.
Tyr- The one handed god, both great warrior and stratigest.( Grendell has no relation to tyr in mythology, He hails from Beowulf)
Baldur- Loved by all, his death signaled Ragnorak.
Hod- The blind god, twin to Baldur, Kills Baldur by accident through Loki's trickery
Loki- The trickster god, born of the giants, Father to many monsters in norse mythology
Vali/ Dark avenger- Born with the task to avenge Baldur by slaying Hod.

Ah, Loki. The great trickster. He is by far my favorite mythological god, despite his cowardice and lack of knowledge about consequences...

Loki is actually the mother of some as well. Just check out wikipedia on Ragnarol. Most of the important stuff is there.

I like the story. It gets the mythology right enough, while fitting the 40k verse. I don't have any problem with something that is so clearly influenced.

I like that idea. I was thinking on a way to give the Einherjar representation in my army. It was ethier L.O.T.D. or terminators. By the way, would the imperium care if a dreadnaught had a company of his to lead.
