Splash's Monster army

original thread ↗

The monster army is an idea I've had to create a WFB army consisting entirely of monster type creatures. The more basic monsters will be horror film classics like werewolves but there will be some original (hopefully) stuff too.

First up is my giant Frankenstein. Originally created for my undead army but I think he'll fit in even better here.

cool giant man! those shoes are incredible!
great idear, good luck with it :D

If by RAW, you mean "Reg06's Audacious Whims", then you'd be right.

Wow, I can tell from just that giant that the rest of this army will be great as well. Good work, I can't wait to see it and more when they are finished!

As requested, some more pics:

I've undercoated it since but the camera has revealed a few missed spots! The boots are based on those of the Van Helsing monster. I made them using plasticard and milliputt. The cogs are the drive wheels from a 1:76 Churchill tank.
Domo Arigato! ^^

After all, painting 100 night goblins is something you do in the morning just before you are off to work.

And I think you missed a 0 when you wrote 11 armies. The correct nr should be 110 armies I would think, based on your painting speed.
great model mate!
Thanks for the kind comments dudes. Watch this space. When I get some money (which doesn't seem to be happening a lot lately :() I will be buying some rat ogres to convert into giant werewolves. Mmmmm, giant werewolves.
Thats an awesome giant conversion to frankenstiein :D
Keep up the great work! :D

Great idea, dig the giant so far.  Funny thing is I watched Bride of Frankenstein last night and was wondering about modeling up some classic horror critters myself ;)

Werewolves > Vampires. That's all I've got to say.

Werepyres > Vampires + Werewolves.

Love the Giant. Great stuff.

True, but nothing in the Ogre army can fly so I can't really make a werepyre model. It's a pity because converting the new Demon Prince would be an easy way to make one I reckon. Hmm, I could make one for my Vampire Counts army though.

The Gorger could maybe be a werepyre now that I think about it. It can't fly, but neither can the varghulf and that has been modelled with wings...

Too much awesome to pass up. Just make it have holes in its wings or wings that are too small to let it fly.
