I am making a video for a competition and need some help the rules state that the person with the most viewed video and the most times favorited will win the prize, and I thought that a video on how to defeat chaos daemons would attract a lot of viewers. however Even though I looked through the know our enemy article, I didnt find anything to usefull, I just need to know ways to defeat each unit individually. ( like for example the only way to win against plague bearers is to avoid them, or bog them down with cheap units ) can anyone help me out?

Ok, I'll have a go at this:
Bloodthirster
Not much you can do here, since he can fly and is an absolute beast. A tenderiser is useful here, just use MSU to try to make sure you can get the charge.
Keeper of secrets
Same problem here, again I would try to tenderise the mulch out of it. It isnt important to get the charge here, since it has ASF, but it can still be useful so you can maximise however you want. A challenging tyrant will probably be best here, you will almost always survive for a turn or two, since it only (for a greater daemon) has 6 strength 6 attacks. Careful about any leadership weakening spells, since if you don't dispel them you might be having to take 2 leadership checks at -5 (at worst) where you roll 3 dice and get rid of the lowest to attack.
Great unclean one
Simple, bog him down with a very big unit of gnoblars (around 30). With only four attacks, you will never lose combat until he kills 11 (which will take at least 3 turns). Dont engage him with anything important, and make sure to protect the gnoblar units flank.
Lord of change
Not quite sure here, since he is very hard to catch, and is better in combat than a tyrant. I dont have any experience here, so maybe someone else can help.
Herald of slaanesh
not very good in combat - you should survive its attacks and hopefully kill it on the way back. try to charge and maximise so you have two ogres in contact. It may or may not kill an ogre, so youll have enough attacks back to smash it (hopefully)
Herald of nurgle
avoid - not hard with a unit 4 unit
if you have nothing to attack other than it and its unit surround it with as many units as you think youll need
herald of tzeentch
ignore, wont do much damage
obviously charge if you can, it cant beat anything or flee so anything will do
bloodletters
charge with something and make sure you dont touch the hearld in the unit. it wont be able to kill anything the first time since you will have killed enough to make sure they have hardly any attack (even three naked bulls will kill 3 on the charge), and they wont have hatred the second round so will not do much damage. Very important to stay away from the herald though, he will be able to do enough damage by himself that youll still lose.
Daemonnetes
not a great unit, without a herald they pretty much suck (for daemons). See hearld of slaanesh for info
Plague bearers
Avoid. Another option is to charge with a butcher (with seigebreaker) with a single maneater behing him. The plague bearers will not be able to do anything really, hitting on fours and wounding on 5s without poison, and neitehr will the palanquin. Try to smash the herald, and even if you lose combat you are stubborn. Just dont get flanked. (credit goes to chugger for this idea)
Horrors
Get into combat. The only spell they will be able to cast is gift of change, and that wont do much damage, and can only be cast if the unit has 16+ models.
flesh hounds
Try to get them in the flank with a unit like ironguts, and dont waste any magic on them. Shooting can do some damage, so leadbelchers and BoH will do something. Try not to let them charge.
Screamers
Dont have much experience, maybe someone else can help.
Seekers
Wont do very much damage, so you can pretty much ignore them. Very annoying though, but shooting will destroy them, and so will any charge. Careful of the siren banner, meaning that you cant charge or flee when they charge.
Nurglings
Not many people use them, scout is annoying, but they can easily be handled with with most things.
Flamers
Engage in combat. Try to get close, or charge with two units, so they cant stand and shoot. Charge with something competant though, since they each have two S5 atacks in combat (but only at WS2, so youll be hitting them on threes with any ogre units).
Bloodcrushers
If you get the charge, you will destroy them. So will shooting. On the charge, they will do serious damage though, so be careful and use sacrificial units.
Fiends
Very annoying, use shooting if you can, but hopefully they wont do too much damage on the charge.
Beasts of nurgle
God these guys are annoying. Just try to use cheap units if you can, since youll need a lot to kill them. They arent too good offensively for their cost though, so try to bog them down with gnoblars.
Remember that the weakness of daemons is that they are all immune to pycology, so setting up traps is quite easy and they wont be able to stop them or make them that well.
And sorry for any spelling/punctuation mistakes, a lot of writing means rushing a bit.
Things to ponder:
If 'pro' is the opposite of 'con', does that mean 'progress' is the opposite of 'congress'?
Why doesn't Tarzan have a beard?
Isn't it a bit worrying that doctors call what they do 'practice'?
Why is a boxing ring square?

Well as for Bloodthirsters, you can really slow them down if you play right (or tailor your list...). For example, Vampire Counts can take 7 Dire Wolves + a Doomwolf as champion for only 66pts. If that unit charges the Thirster, challenge him with the Doomwolf - it'll get pasted and the Bloodthirster can get Overkill resolution and get 6 CR as far as I know. That means the wolves lose the combat and 6 of them crumble away, leaving 1 wolf in combat. The Bloodthirster will have to spend the next Daemons turn slaughtering one Dire Wolf instead of whatever your enemy had planned, so you just stalled a flank charge or other terrible occurence with a 70 point unit.
Ogres have a few good points. In summary, I like them because they make me sexy.

Good luck with this one! Any competent DoC player would equip it with Obsidian Armour, and your Tenderiser is lookin' pathetic

Great Weapon would be cheaper, and just as effective!

After all, painting 100 night goblins is something you do in the morning just before you are off to work.
And I think you missed a 0 when you wrote 11 armies. The correct nr should be 110 armies I would think, based on your painting speed.

do you need info on ogres beating daemons or just beating daemons in general, cause some armies have a lot more versatility than ogres, not to mention not everyone has ogres
