Good rule? or am I mising something?

If I give a tyrant beast killer and the tenderiser does that mean each of his atacks ( when fighting something big ) that means each attack does d3 x 2 wounds?

I don't think you can have a magic weapon if you take beast killer, but i never use it and dont have the book with me.

You can carry a magic weapon if you have Beastkiller, but Beastkiller explicitly states you only double the wounds dealt by mundane weapons.

a normal great weapon and beastkiller will do it just fine - just like a tendersier vs. alrge targets but without the variability.

In fact, the big T and Beastkiller end up the same. Average on a d3 is 2, so statistically speaking they cause the same number of wounds if the tyrant has a mundane GW.

And tenderizer works where beastkiller doesn't: ethereals, treeman (actually it still does work, but the tenderizer makes all saves dissapear.)

hence why I still have the tenderiser on a bruiser now that I have chosen to equip my tyrant differently - covering both options.

on average the beastkiller and tenderiser end up the same, but with beastkiller you know you'll always be getting 2 wounds/hit.  With the tenderiser you might still only get 1 wound/hit or you could get 3 - making beastkiller a little more relaible, or at least, predictable.

There is an extra point: beastkiller makes you forget about psicology, but you cannot choose flee as the reaction when being charged: you have to endure whatever is coming on your way. On the other hand, you do not depend on snake eyes when you loose a combat against the great daemon or a dragon.

I still prefer the tenderizer as you are only saving 20 points with the big name, but the tenderizer works on multi-wound heros and lords and the big name doesn't.
