Greyseer Skalpax's Ogre Slave Tribe

Hopefully this Gnoblog will serve a double purpose....

It'll get my new army seen!... but more importantly it'll make me work on it!!
Very long term project, the plan is completion for the UK GT Heat 3.

Still very much in the early stages of development but the basic idea is....

Greyseer Scalpax, through skaven cunning, sorcery and quick quick thinking has enslaved an ogre tribe.  Think Greyseer Thanquol giving the warpstone axe to that orc in Shadow of the Horned Rat and controlling him.

By controlling the Chief the Greyseer has taken control of the tribe, Ogres and Gnoblars alike.

So we're talking an Ogre army with some Skaven Cameo's, banners, pendants and lots of Warpstone!....
Maybe add the early stages of mutation to some ogres, packmasters in the back row of gnoblar units etc.. we'll see how it progresses.

ok 1st update.

I've begun the thought process behind the Skaven takeover of the Ogre tribe.  My idea is that the Skaven have used warpstone and skaven engineering to control them... The photo shows a device implanted into the base of the ogres skull.... A shaft with 3 prongs tipped with Warpstone.  The eyes will be painted white, with a hint of green... no pupils to show a kind of posession. 

Not sure what looks best.... I originally had the shaft with the single spike at the top... but added the extra two prongs on.  I'd also like to maybe make the device smaller... not sure yet.  Many more test models to make!! 

WIthin the Gnoblar units im going to have unit fillers with Carts / wagons etc (have OOP snotling attack wagons) with hunks of warpstone on them.  The skaven basically using all this warstone to keep the ogres and gnoblars enslaved.

I like the concept. But the current device is huge. Like, really big. Probably 2-3 times too big. It'd get knocked out real soon, and looks a little unrealistic. I like the design of the device, but it needs to be scaled down.
But experimenting with different designs is a very good thing. Using many different designs will make it look more haphazard and crazy- you know, more skavenish.

yeah I agree its way to big at the mo.. more a design test that actual test.

Definately making them all different... not like skaven to make something uniform!

I like this idea.. possessed Ogres!  I agree that you could make the device smaller.  It's a shame Ogre arms are very mono-pose, or you could have them stretched out in front like zombie arms!!
