Hobby Hero Awards 2008 - The Results!

The lights in the great hall dim as the audience take their seats. Representatives of every race from the Old World and beyond are present, each eager to hear the results of their Host’s competition.  As a hush of anticipation creeps across the crowd, the Mighty Overtyrant Hragged, Lord of the Stronghold takes to the stage, flanked by his comedian Gnoblar; Byli Kriserl. They stop before a mighty podium, taller than even the strongest orc, and pick up a bunch of envelopes, each hand crafted from genuine human skin. It is time.

Well the votes are in folks, the 2nd Annual Ogre Stronghold Hobby Hero awards have been tallied and I can now announce the winners in each category:

Well I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who participated in the awards this year, the nominaters, nominees, voters and winners. Congratulations to everyone who got nominated, and a special congrats to this year's winners.

I'd also like to thank everyone who nominated me adn voted for me in various categories, I was really surprised to win the painting award this year (a little less surprised by the best other army gong, after seeing the nominations ) so thanks

Congratulations to all the winners! I'd like to thank everyone who nominated me, it's good to feel loved , but I think forgottenlor deserves it way more for his hard work.

Congratz to all the winners, and all the runner-ups as well. I think that to be even nominated, one must be really good in what they do, as we have quite a tight competition here at the stronghold. Which is great, as it makes people work on their skills harder and harder

As for the winners in categories, I think the awards got to the right people.
And Corai, thank you for organizing this event

Let me add my thanks as well.  To be nominated for any of these categories is a great honour, and I was amazed to find myself nominated in so many - and then speechless to actually have won  

My greatest sources of pride though are for the ogre's choice award (especially as its now the second year I've won it) and for pushing Corai closely in the "achievement in painting" category - Corai is an artist I greatly admire and to be cosidered as a second to him feels great and humbling at the same time.

Congratulations to all nominees this year - your outstanding contributions to the stronghold are really, really appreciated by all who visit here and its the reason the stronghold is my homepage

I would also like to add my thanks. It was an honor being both nominated and winning. Thanks to all those who casted a vote. I'm glad that some of you enjoyed my projects in WFO (Even if they were more experiments than really fleshed out events). I'd also like to thanks Patuljak, who was nominated with me. He is a worthy sportsman and a skilled player. Also thanks to Corai for organizing this event.

Well done WC!! a deserved winner.

I have learned a large percentage of my Ogre Tactics from WC and the Ogre Stronghold, keep up the good work!!!

IMO you have deserved the nomination as a little pay back for what you are doing in the army list section.
