Ogres are monstrous humanoids that inhabit the Mountains of Mourn, far to the east of the Old World. They are primitive and violent, willing to kill and consume anything that stands in their way, including Humans, Elves, Dwarfs, Orcs, and even other Ogres.

Appearance and Physiology
Ogres are humanoid in appearance but are much larger than humans, standing around 10 feet in height. They have thick, and muscular bodies; an Ogre can effortlessly carry and fire a loaded cannon, swing a broad sword the size of a tree, tear down fortified walls, and his stout, tireless legs can run down a Human being or even an Elf. An Ogre's head is broad, with strong jaw muscles and specialized teeth for ripping and grinding food apart, and a primitive brain encased in a skull thicker than a Dwarf's. Their skin is described as being as thick and tough as hardened leather. Ogres are typically bald or balding, but most males sport facial hair ranging from thin moustaches to heavy beards. By far the most predominant feature of an Ogre is his gut; a bulging paunch that can be as wide as a man is tall. This gives them the appearance of being quite fat, but the reality is that an Ogre gut possesses multiple, inter-locking skeins of hardened muscle that act to both protect their internal organs, which are located far lower in an Ogre than a human being, and to help grind up tough substances in the Ogre's stomach. In theory, an Ogre can digest just about anything from flesh to bone, metal and stone if given enough time. Ogres protect their guts further by adorning them with a gut-plate; a massive slab of metal or stone held in place by a heavy belt. Besides a pair of britches and iron-shod boots, Ogres wear little in the way of clothing. Ogres decorate their skin quite heavily. Scarification is a common practice, and Ogres also sport crude tattoos, warpaint, and piercings of all sizes, from the decorative to the grotesque (Hunters, for example, have been seen sporting thick mammoth tusks impaled through their earlobes, which have grown distended and mutilated from the size and weight).

The Ogres of the Skulltaker Tribe paint their faces as white as the skulls they collect.

The Suneater Ogres paint their gutplates yellow, believing the heat of the sun itself lies in their bellies.
